Probably college for having more freedom and the ability to do stuff, although high school could be a more fun environment and a lot of the really fun people from HS never made it to college.

why do you think h.s. was so bad?Stuck in stupid pre-set cliques (in my case, loner/nerd) Starting to reach adulthood but still have all the limitations and restrictions you had when you were younger. Like...it was better than middle school. But I still hated it. Had to wait till college to "start over" and have freedom. College, instead of the regimented classes of high school, it was a giant mixing bowl of picking your own classes and more "everyone for themselves". I could go to gaming club and anime club and have friends there, then go to martial arts and have a totally different group of friends there, and so on... Just way more fringe interests available to cater to weirdos like me, and ironically the much larger body of students made it much easier to not be "part of the crowd" because there's so many people and you're constantly around completely different groups from one class to the next or one hobby/activity to the next. EDIT: Also had very overbearing parents, so living away from them made ....other things... much easier, too... ... Copied to Clipboard!

Both were fun in different ways, both were lame in different ways.
Basically, you know, life. The only school years I actively disliked was middle school, and that only lasted like 3 years. And it was mostly because it was an awkward adjustment from elementary school because of how our school system worked. But even that wasn't total hell or anything. I know it's the stereotype that most Internet nerds hate school because all they have are memories of getting stuffed into lockers by the cool kids or just picked on constantly, but that was never really a thing for me. College by a million miles. In high school, I was unpopular and bullied. I didn't have a car or a driver's license until the very end of my senior year. My parents wouldn't let me participate in any extracurricular activities because they either didn't want to pick me up late from school, or didn't want to pay extra money for them. I had maybe a handful of friends tops, and most of those "friends" would pretend they didn't know me while around more popular kids.
In college, I still lived at home, but I had a car. I could go out and spend time after school and participate in things outside of class. I still wasn't super popular, but at least I had some actual friends and freedom. --- Sign here. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I had 0 friends in high school and parents who would smell my clothes whenever I interacted with kids my age and accused me of smoking, hoping to get a confession out of me, even though they never actually smelled smoke

Highschool because my parents refused to send me to a normal college and told me I would have to pay for it and there was no way I was going to try to rack up student debt so I just went to community college which takes out most of the social aspect of college.
The super nice college they WOULD pay for was super JESUS college. Like literally the nicest campus ever with a rollerblade rink, waterpark, wallball rooms, bowling alleys, the workkssss BUT....it was ultra conservative. Like there were literally different sidewalks for men and women and different swim times for boys and girls. You betcha that the opposite sex wasnt allowed in your dorm. ... Copied to Clipboard!

In my case I had a good group of friends for high school, but that didn't really develop in college. Plus it seemed to me there were more activity options available in high school. I went to a large state urban college and, while there was "city stuff" to do, it never felt to me that the college itself did much to try and engage students. (Which is why I ignore their mailings asking for more money from me)

High school was for me although I actually enjoyed the classes more at university. I was more serious about school in university and I didn't like the idea of sororities and fraternities. It seemed like there people based their friendships on which one of those groups you were in. My older sister was heavily into the top sorority, was a cheerleader and in beauty pageants. I was heavily recruited by many but it seemed so childish. So I stayed out of all of them.
I did make some lifelong friends there but not as close as my high school ones. And again, I loved the freedom of classes and learning. I had some professors that I really respected and were very helpful in getting me pointed in the right direction. --- "Mom, was I in a wreck?" ... Copied to Clipboard!

Lunch break was better at college I mean, you kinda don't really have "lunch breaks," because the scheduling of classes works differently. High schools break the days into uniform blocks, where lunch is its own period. In college, "lunch" is just whenever you have time between classes, which might be 15 minutes while walking to your next class. Or if you just schedule night classes for a semester, it's not even a thing you have to worry about (although then your job decides the lunch break) --- (\/)(\/)|-| There are precious few at ease / With moral ambiguities / So we act as though they don't exist. ... I've done the odd college course but they didn't last more than 8 weeks still as we were all adults on the course it felt more easy to avoid people I don't like much and going to the pub after with some of them was fun. That's how some of them are now my acquaintances. In secondary school I was bullied a lot and it was much harder to avoid idiots.
