Literally this one 5 second clip from 42seconds to 48 seconds.

MJ is hanging on to peter and they're swinging and it's like...ludicruously obvious that Spiderman is a mannequin, and also...her hair is blowing the wrong way?

It's been 19 years (wow) and this scene just pops into my head randomly

I remember watching it again with some friends a couple of years ago and we rewinded that part over and over again laughing at the statue (or whatever it was) because it clearly wasn't a person, let alone Tobey.

I think about this from time to time as well. I love this kinda shit in movies.

Like in Oscar nominated, super serious American Sniper there's this dumbest scene where Bradley Cooper is clearly holding a baby doll and is actually moving the thing's arms to give the impression that it's alive.

The hair thing gets brought up on Reddit every so often.

Im so glad Im the type of person that just watches movies and shows to just watch them and not dissect every last thing so stuff like this never even crosses my thoughts.

For me it will always be the "and deliver us *CRASH* FINISH IT! From eeeeeeeevvviiiiiil" scene that pops into my head every once in a while.
A common criticism of Holland's Spidey is that he/the movie feels too kiddy. Those very same people often praise Maquire's Spidey 5 seconds later completely oblivious to how overly cartoony those movies are.

Not that I have any problem with Holland's Spider-Man, but kiddy and cartoony are not the same thing. The Raimi movies pretty clearly intentionally leaned into the cheesier aspects of comic books.

I like the entire scene before this. Green Goblin chasing down Spiderman as food stalls explode around him, it looks like something out of a Power Rangers show. And at the end, he goes like "I'll get you yet, Spiderman!" in that perfect, hammy sort of way. Spiderman jumping around on giant balloons and shit too - it's such a fun fucking scene, and it ends with this shit. Amazing movie.

Do yourself a favour and watch it. Willem Dafoe carries this movie on his back, and Tobey Maguire is like pushing 30 portraying a dorky high schooler. The score is honestly pretty fantastic too.

I know.
It's just that I find it amusing that a movie about a teenager gets the "this is not for adults" comment. While the movie that goes out of its way to emulate a time when comics were written specifically for children is somehow not because the character isn't in high school.

I usually post from my PS4 inbetween gaming. And the virtual keyboard always autofills it as Spiderman. Sony, the company that is making billions of the character can't even be arsed to correctly spell the name.

Tobey played Spiderman in a very awkward way
Like it would be genuinely uncomfortable to spend time with him

Andrew played him as too cool and wasn't believable as they nerdy archetype

Tom is my favorite so far
