No, I know it is hard to keep track of your kid especially in crowded areas but I also think it's a little extreme to tie your kid up.

I'll never have kids so I can't say what I would do but if that's what it takes to keep someone's kid from getting killed or messing shit up, go for it.

I think it depends on the kid.
I'm generally against it, but if the kid has a disability that makes them particularly prone to getting sperated then it could be understandable.

Some kids need it. Like the ones that are prone to violent outbursts, or are destructive or otherwise hard to handle.

It is better to keep them contained than to have them roam doing what they want and have their parent try to make excuses for them.
