Could they even teach about the Holocaust? Japanese internment camps? Civil rights? Slavery? Civil War? Anything Native American related?

Its wild to think these are the same people who will also claim that removing statues erases history.

My mom is a 2nd grade teacher at a Christian school where everyone is a Trumper, and she, at least used to, teach this book. I read this before and nothing about it suggests CRT. It does talk briefly about the history of slavery, Jim Crowe, and racism, but you have to take a rather twisted definition of CRT to think that falls under it.

The left failed to clearly define what precisely was happening, so the right did instead and absorbed everything they didn't like under the umbrella of CRT very effectively. When you see the right revving up the fearmongering engine you're supposed to fight it like we did to get gay marriage to be a thing, not refuse to engage and just call people idiots that have no idea what they're talking about (which is fine in itself but you kinda have to thoroughly explain things for that to have any positive effect).
