i'm sick of it too!

i bought blueberry poptarts there. they were all crumbled and broken and just like, subpar quality in general despite the box being perfectly fine with no damage

i've also gotten other name brand products there that just kinda...weren't as good as the same things from, like, walmart.

Why would you go to Aldi to get name brands?

Their own brands are generally fine, I buy a ton of stuff from them. Only real hiccups I've had are the salmon fillets (used to be excellent, but then a few months ago twice in a row I got ones that reeked of ammonia or something, so...I'm done) and some of the produce.

Generic doritos without msg $1.19 a bag? Neat staple for a while but yeah they suck, odd texture. Aldi has saved me money but so many misfires. The dairy/produce is risky and bread expires in like 3 days. Can't beat 24 bottles of water for $2.29 or cans of beans for 59 cents tho.

Yeah yeah, you saw a viral comment on reddit that msg is ok because science good. It's not okay for everyone; it affects nerves and people with genetic diseases.

sorry dude but you have been duped

I've been in an Aldi twice dude. Plus I wouldn't buy name brand or generic doritos. You really think I have time for alts. I know you do.

I thought Aldi's whole thing was selling defective/nearly spoiled products?

Aldi is to groceries what Walmart is to electronics. They buy overgoods/defective products in bulk and then sell them cheap.

What?

you seem very angry about a grocery store, a pretty benign one imo

did you have a really negative experience or something?

You projecting?
I was just stating what Aldi is/does, and asking for confirmation.

It's a Factory Outlet...but for groceries. Like TJ Maxx for food.

...no?

no, it's not. it's typically not very good business to sell near expired food, no. it turns out that most people tend to not like rotten food
