"The school did have contact with the student the day before and the day of the shooting, for behavior in the classroom that they felt was concerning," Bouchard said at a news conference. "In fact, the parents were brought in the morning of the shooting and had a face-to-face meeting with the school," he said. The sheriff continued, "The content of that meeting obviously is part of the investigation, but we did not learn of that meeting, nor of the content of that meeting until after the shooting and during this investigation." Bouchard added that the shooting suspect "was released back into the school from the meeting." Jesus Christ it sounds like the school dropped the ball HARD on this. Granted we don't know what those meetings were about, but the fact that a bunch of kids knew to stay home that day tells me the school probably had a pretty fucking good idea that a threat had been made for a specific day --- "You go. I thought with certain crimes it was off the table or at least set astronomically high --- "You go.
