Do they do external ones I could just hook up instead of rebuild the pc

yeah some usb antennas will do the job fine, just don't go for the cheapest ones

There are plenty of options nowadays. Like TheGreatEscape and voldothegr8 said, you can just buy a usb wifi antenna. There are also other options like,

Wifi meshes, you can have one next to your computer and you plug the enthernet cable into it


Or you can use powerline adapters where you plug one into the router and then one to the computer with ethernet cables for a full cabled connection.

You can buy one that looks like a USB adapter for a wireless mouse for like $15 at Target.

I just use a USB adapter.

Yeah USB isn't great for through put but wifi is trash too so it's fine.

Used a Linksys USB thumb thingy for years on my old Desktop years ago.

At the time I wasn't aware that a Desktop could do that unless it was a PCI card or something.

Be for the better.

I had to use a 10ft USB extension cable to make the receiver thing closer to the router.
