So despite the fact that I've played basically every Sonic game since the first on genesis, somehow I never played Sonic Colors. That's despite playing sonic 2006 and unleashed, as well as secret rings and Black Knight.

I'm playing the remake on Series x, which runs at 4K and 60 frames per second, so ideally it's the best way to play the game. But honestly I don't think it's all that good. It's probably better than unleashed, if you go back and think about the Sonic games that were available at the time, but the fact of the matter is Sonic Generations is a vastly better game in nearly every way. And with Generations now running at 60 frames per second on series X, it's the far better Sonic game to play from that era.
