God just made it's most detailed appearance in the previous chapter, and in this chapter, it looks like we are gearing up for Saitama vs Garou finally

I have enjoyed the changes they made from the webcomic, while keeping most of the best stuff.

Has he ever actually been damaged yet in the manga, or has he dealt with a foe that couldnt be defeated in more than a few punches (that didn't appear in the anime).

Haven't read the last few chapters but it's been so good before then, can't wait for it to get animated.

If you're talking about the anime, it picks up towards the end. Most animes are samey in the middle to pad out the story. But even the middle episodes deal with some interesting things.

In the Saitama vs Goku debate, the thing that always makes me side with Saitama is not his "one punch" attack, but rather, his defense. He has never taken damage ever, and shows no evidence that he even can....like Goku has been beaten up and on the brink of death multiple times, which means he is capable of taking damage. That ends the debate right there in my opinion.

One Punch Man still hasn't gotten to the scale of Freeza arc DB though.

True we haven't seen anywhere close to Saitama's limit, but all feats he accomplished are things Goku could do easily, and the attacks he tanked are ones Goku could also easily tank.

Does Goku actually "tank" attacks, though? Any time he faces somebody halfway decent he always seems to actually take damage.

i would argue that Boros was Freeza arc strong. Im not saying Freeza level, but Freeza arc

Goku also gets stronger as the series progresses. I assume when people do the "vs" thing they assume peak conditions. So canonically we're at least talking post Boo arc. So any injuries sustained before that arc probably wouldn't faze him anymore.

Possibly! It's hard to say without comparing environmental destruction.

But he might not even be as strong as some of the Monster Association guys. Boros' right hand man could be handled by S Classes.
