Board 8 > 9 years ago, I bought a $150 backpack.

Last week, after all that time being used daily, the zipper on the smallest pocket came off.

I went to Amazon to buy the same one, and saw the company offered a lifetime warranty.

Figured it couldnt hurt to ask about that.



Just incredible. I always loved my backpack, but now I have a reason to always recommend Everki, just top notch customer service.

Its comfortable, has lots of storage, and has held up for a decade. It doesnt look even close to that old.

Holy crap. Most places if you talked to them, they would say that the lifetime of the product is defined as five years or something like that. That was my experience with my old Camelbak water bottle. I can't imagine a company doing that. That's incredible, and absolutely deserving of some good buzz. I'll try to remember them if I'm ever shopping for another backpack, albeit $150 is probably above my usual price range since I'd use it for school stuff and not for outdoor hiking. (I'm assuming that's what a backpack in that price range is for.)

I had a $50 bag for 10 years I used daily. The amortized cost ends up being extremely low for high quality items. Problem is you don't know something is really high quality or not until a couple years of use, after which the model is likely off the market. It's cool they actually upgraded yours though.

On the one hand it probably only costs them $10 a bag, so no loss on them. On the other hand, most companies don't have customer service nearly that good. Good on them for holding true to their promise.
