Dont know where you live, but in NY, youre allowed 30 minutes for every 4 hours you work.

Dont know where youre at in ny, but where Im at breaks are no earlier than the start of the third hour and no later than the end of the fifth hour or you get a meal penalty at the prevailing rate

I had to work 8-8 on Thursday and didn't get a break. My type of work is essentially exempt from those types of rules and its annoying.
