The movie has its moments , still I never got the sense that Arthur could ever become the mass-maming maniac we know & love (or loath) from Batman's world. It seems like the movie wants to fall flat on itself to make a punchline lol i shot you and deliver a philosophical message to the following of the character... instead of letting him do what he does best (a thing which can scarcely be shown on screen to a younger audience in any capacity)... And then, have the heroes come in and pick up the pieces. I love their shift from sympathetic back to pathetic and forth again, but like DC's last attempt at the clown prince of crime (Jared Leto's Suicide Squad... Who has now become a literal "Bat Man" in Morbius opposite the Twlight kid (Robert Pattinson..) in a completely unrelated work as the actual Batman ._.) ... I don't see myself rewatching this one regularly. It's more Machinist than American Psycho. Nice setup & twister. Not a real keeper. Not a stinker either. Worth more than the sum of its parts, for sure. A real labor of love tho. Much better than Suicide Squad, as a whole. HQ&tbop +TSSquad was fun tho. With the James Gunn flavor. Lol.
