Other: Venture Bros. is a good answer too.

Their classic works were also sexist and/or had racial caricatures. Even WB acknowledged this: https://imgur.com/gallery/U8UZyVI

I guess Korra, though I'd still say that complaints about the lesbian twist at the end did have a bit of merit as it did feel like it was shoehorned in more than naturally developed. Felt very much like a last minute ending idea versus something that they were building to. If I'm being honest, even Korra and Bolin had more build-up as a potential relationship than Korra and Asami, and note that I'm not advocating for the former nor do I think that would've been a good thing to end on.

That being said, being upset about it was pretty nonsensical. Plenty of shows have had two main characters hooking up in a straight relationship because they survived a traumatic experience without anyone batting an eye, after all. Two attractive mains decide to randomly hook up? Sounds pretty obvious when put just like that, after all.

I will say that they did do a bit of build-up. Part of it is surely just that I knew they were going to be a couple before I watched it, but the signs are there. For instance, Asami compliments Korra's hair and Korra blushes a bit. If Asami was a dude, that alone would have been enough to indicate to everyone that they were going to get together.

I think Adventure Time was more of our time than most of these shows. Korra ended up being good, but the first two seasons alienated a lot of people and most folks weren't super ride or die with it. Steven Universe was an offshoot from Adventure Time, with Rebecca Sugar handling a lot of the most well received early episodes of AT, meaning the show started ages after the core demographic of AT had moved on from cartoons for the most part. Voltron and She-ra are fairly recent cartoons, like 2014 and 2015 - and in She-ra's case it got flak for being "social justice warrior virtue signalling garbage" at the start, as seen in this Twitter screenshot:

I also remember seeing topics about the show, how they made She-ra "ugly" and how it was SJW propaganda ruining people's childhoods and shit. So that show is sure as shit not going to be CE's favorite.

Star Vs. the Forces of Evil feels like it'd be a bit too late for CE's demographic, and while RWBY might have the timing and aesthetic down, who the fuck cares about RWBY any more outside of Monty Oum and his untimely passing? Even the fans rip shit on the crew of the show for running it into the ground, or for it not being very good in the first place.

And the Owl House is probably the most recent cartoon on that list. Folks on here probably watch it with their younger relatives, or they put it on so they have something to watch with their own kids. I can't comment on the Loud House bc I don't know what that is, though.

Adventure Time is one of the earliest shows on that list, and it had a wide demographic of both children and manchildren/geeks/stoners. It was a show I watched for a solid chunk of it, anyway. Whether you got in on the ground floor or when it got popular, I think considering the timing of that show and the broad appeal it had across demographics, Adventure Time was gonna be the obvious answer in this poll.

And it's already been renewed for the full "saga", so it's got that over Star vs. and Owl House at least.

I think TDP is the best representation I've seen in cartoons. It's just completely casual about it. Yeah, the neighboring country is ruled by two queens and Reyla's adopted parents are two dudes. No big deal.

Out of those, I think Owl House.

The first few seasons of Adventure Time are great but by the time they actually started introducing the Marcy/PB stuff I feel like the show was already starting to go a bit down hill. I also really like the first two seasons of Star Vs. but the stuff after was a mistake

I love Steven Universe to bits: its full of excellent queer representation, and two gay relationships are key to the story (series spoilers) that of Ruby and Sapphire and also Pearl was 100% gay for Rose though that wasnt requited. It also engages with abusive relationships really well on multiple occasions Jasper and Lapis Lazuli being the most obvious example, which is very much mutually abusive, but also Pearl/Rose to an extent and 1000% of how the Diamonds relate to others and each other.

Venture Brothers is also good for this: you have Al and Shore Leave as important gay characters who end up a really cute couple but also the aggressively sexual Colonel Gentleman in one of the commentary tracks, his voice actor says, in Col. Gentlemans voice, in relation to his disturbingly young twink boyfriend, something to the effect of: Kiki is so sexy, I want to slather him on toast and have sex with the sandwich! I choose to believe this statement is canonical.
It also depicts a non-standard straight relationship: Brock winds up falling for muscular Wonder Woman knockoff Warriana and goes to her apartment under the effect of Billy and Petes God gas. He awakes there the next morning with a butt plug in his *very* sore ass. When she comes by later, he starts telling her No more butt stuff but is lassoed by her and chirps, I liked it!
