https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/uk-news/what-new-plan-b-rules-22408002
SAHE member and architect of the first lockdown Professor Neil Ferguson said a full UK-wide lockdown cannot be ruled out.

Right before Christmas with more "changes" (aka Lockdowns) to come.

They did the same shit last year and fucked over everyone including myself.

It's also been revealed that the Tories had a big Christmas party last year while it was illegal for the pleb civilians to do the same.

Fucking hypocrites and cretins. The only reason they are allowing Christmas parties this time is because of the scandal that they got caught having one and want to imply it's okay to do that while at the same time arguing it's too dangerous to meet up.

Boris Johnson and Priti Patel called up the WWE and asked if they could become wrestling bad guys but were turned down because WWE had to remind them that their cartoony villainy is fake while Tory evil is actually real and therefore wouldn't work.

And they still dominate elections. It's infuriating.

He's got a 64% approval rating (Biden has 49%) and the elction calculus predicts another dominant Tory victotry if there was an election tomorrow

Meanwhile every right wing nonsense Tory crap bollocks idea presented is embraced by the population and every scandal and fuck up and evil is handwaved.

England does not care. It's given up on reality.

And people act like Scotland's any better but in reality they're just using England bashing as an excuse to be just as silly.

The data completely backs up how fucked the UK has become. And it's not a shock, it's been plummeting down this way for 20 years and has 0 signs of stopping any time soon.

im not sure where you are getting your data but it differs from the rudimentary research Ive just performed.

As it stands over half those questioned feel Boris should resign and 1 in 3 of those who said they previously voted for Boris said they would note vote for him in the next election.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/boris-johnson-party-poll-christmas-b1972142.html

The last poll I saw was on voting intention had Labour and the Tories pretty much head to head and this was before the recent news about parties at number 10.

https://yougov.co.uk/topics/politics/explore/issue/Voting_Intention

Its only fair to let you respond to the above and provide some evidence for your claims which at the moment Ive not seen any evidence for.

If lockdowns are so vital then do them.

Don't say everything is fine, let everyone die and make plans. Then pull shit 2 weeks before Christmas.

THEN ignore the restrictions yourself while demanding everyone else follow them

This is basic stuff

I'm sure if they had put a inaninate cardboard cut-out of a clown in place of the supposed prime minister after the last election, the country would have been slightly better off as a result.

Even better still would've been a proportional voting system so that the dumbass conservatives couldn't have gotten a parliamentary majority.

I'm conflicted
While Tories getting weaker is good its scary that Labour are doing so by embracing and supporting anti vaxxers

I guess it's a good thing but it still sucks

I also suspect Tories will still dominate the election when it happens

people forget scandals (Boris has had like 17) and a lot of Internet outrage people don't vote

I'm not sure promoting anti vax tobeat Tories is a long term strategy worth embracing

Theyll keep him until the new year I reckon. He can be the scapegoat for any ill feeling from any new restrictions. No way they get a new leader in and immediately have him have to make a difficult decision like that.

I've never lived in the U.K. but from what I can follow of their politics it doesn't look like the country attempts to politicize the pandemic. Be grateful for that much. Here in the States, we have governors trying to dissolve health boards to stop mask mandates and disrupt vaccine distribution, all because one man decided to politicize the pandemic because it was too inconvenient for his administration to deal with it.

I don't like Boris Johnson, but he's still a far cry from Trump, and at least he's capable of listening to reason when it comes to medical experts on addressing covid.

This is kinda true, at least compared to somewhere like the US. The tories are still using it for political clout in some places, but any sort of "fight the lockdown restrictions! Dont get the vaccine!" support tends to be either individual backbench MPs, none of the big players in Parliament, or fringe parties that never win any votes. But there's been plenty of situations and votes where Labour, the opposition to the governing Conservatives, could have argued against stuff for the sake of it, but a lot of the time they've gone along the lines of "this is better than nothing, we won't opposite. You're fucking up elsewhere though". Like there's an upcoming vote from the Government I think on vaccine passports that is obviously a controversial topic, yet Labour aren't opposing it.

Trelve posted...

Because the scientists may recommend it? If you followed lockdowns before this point because you really trusted Boris Johnson, then I don't know what to say to you. Your opinion on restrictions shouldn't be based on Boris Johnson's recommendations, it should be based on what you think is safe, preferably based on what experts say.

I agree. Sadly we have too many people who don't actually have morals and only do things because they are or aren't told to do them.

There are also people who are bored of the restrictions and will use this as an excuse not to follow them.
