But then, how do you do that after The Beatles? How can anything I do be as good as The Beatles? The Beatles were a very special combination of talents. You had me doing what I do, you had John [Lennon] doing what he does, and then you had George [Harrison], who by then had come on as a very strong songwriter, and then gluing it all together And you had Ringo. --- It's-a-me! But I do get a massive chuckle out of seeing his masterclass ad popping up. masterpug53 12/10/21 10:20:06 AM #20:	I can't back this up since it's from a half-remembered documentary I watched probably 20 years ago, but I believe one of the contributing factors in John, Paul, and George seeking out Ringo to take over the drums was that he was older than they were, and they (ironically) perceived him as 'the cool one.' And I too have a soft spot for the Beatles songs with Ringo on the vocals.
