Kids obviously need to eat when they need to eat

but for grown adults, 3 entire meals? In one day? Even if you avoid snacks and beverages with calories, thats still a crazy amount of food unless youre one of those weirdos who measures out and enjoys 2 tbsp of fried rice every day for lunch

imo it should be one insane feast of a meal once every, idk, 3 days

and obviously when people need food they need food. Im just saying as a whole we gotta think about the fact that weve got brakes and not only a gas pedal

most people i know probably eat two meals a day. the third traditional meal would be like a snack at most.

I like the three meal approach well enough. I'm generally eating as much as I need to eat, not more or less.

Yeah, i just do two meals and most people I know are the same way. People who wake up to eat big breakfasts are weird. The only people I know that eat breakfast usually just get donuts or some kinda light snack on the way in to work

Three HEALTHY meals and 2-3 healthy snacks.

one unhealthy meal is too much to eat in a day unless its a once a week cheat meal.

I only really eat a "breakfast" because if I don't I'm going to overeat on my lunch break.

Yeah, I usually do a morning snack (bagel or grapefruit or handful of berries or something) and then a lunch and dinner.

If nothing else I'm not going to get up earlier to eat a breakfast that I don't need...and don't really enjoy much unless it's bacon/eggs.

I've started counting calories recently and I find it hard to get enough, even with three meals a day and snacking. Though of course, as you might guess, the counting coincides with me making a more conscious effort to eat healthy. The real problem is all the little things that add up (and sometimes big, but not core to a meal). Soda, dessert, alcohol, overusing oils and sauces, etc.

I'm not a large dude by any means and it takes me like 2600 calories to roughly stay around the same weight. I don't find three meals to be excessive for that at all - breakfast is usually lighter, around 400-700, say that lunch and dinner are around 700-1000, that still leaves some buffer (given that if I have one of those meals in the high range, I'll probably be having another in the low range that day)

I probably should eat smaller meals but more frequently due to having part of my stomach cut out. It would certainly help me gain more weight. I however only eat two reasonable sized meals a day with sometimes snacks inbetween.
