I mean, take the Death Note for example... a fair SCP that could be used in many stories

Because most anime isn't successful for a long enough period. The wildly successful series keep going and might get a sequel series / spinoff, but most don't make it. As for the example of Death Note, it had a movie or two, and then spinoff manga.

Keep in mind that most anime only lasts a season. It's a very volatile market. Some series wind up having very large gaps in production,

And most anime spinoffs would have to be proceeded by a manga spinoff. The problem there is that most manga are spearheaded by a single creator who also handles the artwork, which means they can't just run two series at once much of the time. It's not like American comics where it's being driven by companies and has rotating artists.

I wish the bleach spinoff was a real series and not just a short miniseries. I dreamed of a bleach spinoff for years but when it finally came it was not what I envisioned. I'd love to see multiple real full length anime spinoff of bleach each set in different cultures

My biggest question in bleach has always been what is the world outside Japan like. I want to explore that so bad

More to the point

-Most anime are themselves spinoffs or adaptations to begin with
-Traditional manga/Otaku culture has involved writing a premise into the fucking ground so the author can make a successful living off it. These stories are typically entirely one person jobs, which discourages any kind of spin off work
-When a franchise becomes popular, it's usually better just to sell merch off of it while it's hot rather than try to keep it going in the incredibly competitive Otaku market

I expect there are, but they aren't limited to more anime. The spinoffs were possibly made into a manga or a visual novel. If it exists in one of those forms it likely exists in the other forms as well.

tbh, if you add them up, there probably are a lot of spinoffs, especially in recent years.
