I can't believe I'm saying this, but I honestly think Andrew Garfield was the MVP. I'm not saying that because I think he's a bad actor, I quite like him (and I actually liked both ASM and ASM2), but he usually is at the bottom of my list of the three Spider-Men.

This movie made me want to see an Amazing Spider-Man 3 just to see his story wrapped-up.

Ehhhhh, he got to see some other Peter's with their own problems, but it sounds like Andrew's Peter has gone really dark since we last saw him.

No longer pulling his punches, and still very bitter and hurt about Gwen. I would like to see what became of him after he went back to his own universe. He seems very lonely.

I'm glad people are finally seeing Andrew's Spidey for the GOAT that he is.

Andrew Garfield is a great actor.

Willem Dafoe talking in his Green Goblin voice was the best part. Garfield could be the runner up though. I wanted to cry when he saved MJ.

Actually Tom Holland is the probably runner up. As good as Garfield's emotional moments were, I still think Holland pulls off the most sympathetic Peter.

I kinda felt sorta similar, but this is the one movie I'm turning a blind eye to every fault. It was crazy to see this happen, and I'll just play it off as he's old and not as bitter as the other two are right now since his life seems to be going well. I was just happy to see my childhood Spider-Man in his suit again.

As I said, I think he is pretty good. I loved him in The Social Network. This movie, he really brought it, though.

What I liked about Tobey in this movie was that he talks and acts just as super dopey and slowly as he did in his own movies.

Maybe that's why people thought he felt off compared to the other characters, because his movies were written and paced differently to the others, and they were trying to convey that.

Andrew was definitely the best imo. You could definitely see the sadness there.

I loved Tobey in this movie. I was thrown off at first because he looked so old, but I enjoyed his calming presence. Like a wise old man.

Dafoe killed it for sure; really enjoyed his Green Goblin. He brought something that I feel a lot of MCU villains are missing; an intensity that I love to see.

And I could agree with you on Tom. This movie actually raised Tom and his gang up in my eyes. I was eh on him, MJ, and Ned, but they won me over in this movie.

No, I get what you mean. He's more of a dry, awkward Peter than the others (which I like personally), but it's whatever to me. He had his moments that I really enjoyed from this film, which is all that I care about.

While I'd take an Amazing 3 or Spider-man 4, what I really want is a movie or series with Garfield and Maguire just traveling around to alternate universes together and... uh, solving crimes and beating people up or something.

The OG trilogy is just a different beast as a whole to modern superhero movies. He really does feel like he came from a different universe, which adds to the uniqueness this film had to offer.

For sure, that's what really won me over. He still could quip like Spider-Man, but you could see the pain he has endured, and that's what made him great. I think this movie is going to raise people's perception of him.

And as I said, it sounds like he's the only one that doesn't have a miserable life right now. He's still with MJ, so that's good for him!

What's really cool is this movie could potentially breathe new life into Tobey and/or Garfield films.

I'd love to see Tobey Spider-man4, or Garfield Amazing Spider-man 3, after seeing this movie. And prior to seeing this movie, I had no interest. But Sony could make either of these movies, without Marvel involvement (assuming it doesn't violate any agreement), and it wouldn't be weird because we know the multiverse is a thing.

I think Tobey was a great Peter Parker but an okay Spiderman. And Andrew Garfield was an okay Peter Parker but a great Spiderman

I think Tobey's Spiderman was meant to act thst way...he is supposed to be the most mature and experienced spiderman.

If you've seen Into the Spider-versebl you'll know what I mean.

To further prove my point, its obvious everyone came from different timelines of their perspective universes.

I'd like to see Amazing 3 where Peter meets MJ and reaches peace with Gwen's death. Tobey 4 would be cool if they gave him someone like Carnage to push him to the limit.

I'd be down for one more solo movie for both Spider-Mans. Or just a Logan style Tobey Maguire one.

They definitely should look into making them after how fucking hyped people were to see those characters return in No Way Home

Is there any possibility to bring back Garfield with the Venom movies? I haven't seen those.

If Eddie is now just bouncing between verses, and not strictly back in his own now, then they could do something like him winding up in Andrew's.

Tbh Tobey Spidey's story is done and here he seemed like he was in a pretty good place. Andrew Spidey could definitely have one more adventure tho, dude felt like he still has some unresolved business

but andrew saving MJ was definitely one of the more emotional points

Agree with Andrew Garfield being the MVP here. Honestly, him and Willem Dafoe were the absolute standouts. That being said, everybody was great though. I disagree with Tobey Maguire being awkwardly bad. I thought he pulled off the wise old Spidey vibe perfectly.

They resolved it in the school's lab when Tobey told him to keep trying to find love. I took it that Andrew's Peter realized he didn't find the MJ in his universe so he won't give up.

Also, I still kinda find it cool that the school they use is the high school my brother and sister went to. It's right on the border between Brooklyn and Queens. It's an absolutely horrendous high school though.

Willem was amazing. And I think people, myself included, forgot how crazy and formidable an opponent Goblin really was. Seeing him destroy Spider-Man in the condo scenes was crazy.

Yeah, I honestly didn't have a problem with anyone. It was just cool and as others said, I loved the conversation about the organic web-shooters, so him being in there for that alone was worth it. Dafoe's goblin is now one of the best MCU villains imo, which is a cool thing to say.

Perhaps, but I would like to see this journey still to get there. I also want to see how the public sees him now if he really has started going Punisher on villains.

I still have to watch Into the Spider-Verse. Just been lazy about sitting down to watch it.

As for the MJ in his universe, I loved Gwen Stacy so much that I didn't want MJ at the time. I remember others bashing the choice at the time too.

They did a really good job with how they wrote this movie.

Tobey did a good job as the older mature Peter Parker. Even though those Amazing Spider-Man movies got shit on by everyone, good for Andrew with getting some redemption here.

Charlie Cox back as Daredevil has me hyped up.

Honestly, one of the better parts of the movie is the story felt like a good Spider-Man story (despite the story they adapted being the most notoriously hated comic-book story of all time), which I felt the other two MCU movies were missing. Sure, Strange was a major player here, but they wrote it well to make it feel like something I could bring my mom to, who isn't an MCU fan.

Tobey was fun to see but he's a more serious/dramatic spider-man.

Andrew slid into this role very easily, he's good with quips.

That was a cool fight. I can't stand Strange's hair though, it looked so fake that it kept bugging me
