Lol people went from complaining about boomers not retiring and hogging all the good jobs to complaining about them retiring and not working.

Are they retiring from the "right" jobs?

That's great, hopefully over the next 10 years the labor shortage gets significantly worse and they beg us to work

Its less complaining and more an acknowledgement.

Is kinda funny though that Boomers live to blame the younger generations for everything and now they're demonstrably to blame lol

Meanwhile, Gen-X is still mostly indifferent.

Hopefully it gets worse and worse until this country collapses.

Fire and brimstone.

It's not going to happen but it's nice to have dreams.

Boomers were working all those customer service jobs? I thought those jobs were only for teenagers.

Upwards mobility has been a problem for a while in part because boomers have been occupying top and even mid level positions in all sorts of industries. If they're not leaving those jobs, they're not leaving the right jobs and creating room for younger generations to move upwards.

Nah.
What we're actually going to see, is a huge transition where pay finally comes up, along with a slight increase in prices. Pay has a natural floor of the minimum wages for someone to show up, and similarly pricing has a natural ceiling of the maximum price for someone to actually buy some thing.

The heyday of absurd capital adventurism is likely drawing to a close. We can blame covid for this, but the trend started quite awhile ago.
