About 10 years ago I picked up some squid preserved in oil from the local bottle-o.

It was either Spanish or Portuguese, cant remember.

Rather than it being rubbery, it sort of melted in your mouth and has a surprisingly musty flavour.

It came in a rolltop tin.

Anyone have any ideas?
