Hmnnm?

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/5/3/9/AAPF7PAACt9b.jpg

Some on 261 get really upset that I am both homeless and highly vocal about my political opinions.

Sometimes so upset that they try to either just world fallacy me into submission, or just straight up call me a liar.

So, you tell me, am I not homeless sleeping in mulch behind the bushes at my job? Am i enjoying too much luxury because I can come argue politics on gamefaqs when I have nothing to better to do but wait to go back to work?

I remember you posting about how you were homeless, though I don't know anything about your politics.

Do I recall you saying you were looking for apartments?

Yep thats in the planning stages. Ive worked out how I need to live for the most part so now its just a matter of saving up especially now that my job got spooked into giving us a living wage. (10 people walking out over a 30 cent raise will do that)

If im lucky I might be in by february but Im anticipating it to be whenever i get my tax refund, as by then I should be able to cover anything.

What state are you in? Maybe a local CE man can let you crash on the couch to avoid the snow?

Well here's the deal... It's REALLY hard to be homeless in the USA. and I mean that in every way. It's a hard life... but I also mean that it's really hard to find yourself in that situation in this country, like REALLY difficult.

No... It just requires so little effort to at the very least be fed and housed in this country... The world has throughout history been flooded with the idle, you just see it more now because we are far more humane than we have been.

Not at all. Many people are 1-2 missed paychecks away from homelessness.
A kid suddenly getting sick, a car crash, medical emergency, or any number of things can make someone quickly lose their footing.

Here's an article from two years ago. It's probably worse by now:

So humane that we have anti homeless architecture and remove the public benches.

Yeah, as soon as that emergency hits, there are innumerable methods of being credited the funds that those emergencies would've otherwise costed you.

Credited funds that you then have to pay back, usually with interest.

Also I did read it as far as it would allow me, and nothing in it supports a counterargument consisting of "read the article" which leads me to believe that you had not. LOL!

So let's say a husband and wife are doing okay, paying the bills and building a small savings. They have one kid and one car.

One day, the husband gets hit by a drunk driver. This kills him and ruins the car.
Suddenly the wife is a single mother without a car.
That kind of situation happens more often than you'd think, and it causes people to become homeless.

That situation causes homelessness far less frequently (pretty ****ing seldomly in fact) and for a far less lengthy duration (of homelessness) than habitual hard drug use though.
