Actually, I've feel like I've seen this a dozen times, but I can't recall many specific examples. A general "these powers got so powerful that we can only represent what's going on in rules and concepts" or "the phleb is almost literally the same exact thing as <relationship concept like friendship>"

On that note, Ender's Game gets more anime when it stops being about superhuman kids in space, and it should be animated.

Made In Abyss has an antagonist who's a scientist that believes in the power of love. He lures orphans from foreign countries with a call to adventure. He then surgically removes enough body parts from them so that they can fit into cartridges he uses as wards against curses. Through experiments he finds out that if there's a strong enough bond between two people being cursed, one person can take the brunt of the curse themselves and the other person will receive a blessing instead.
