I guess that equation works well for being accepted as socially normal but when it comes down to it, love is hard to find so we should try to take hold of it where ever it is as long as its two consenting adults.

People always like to try to play the "He is older so he is more mature" card but when it comes to dating experience women usually have far more because they always have suitors where as some men can reach their 30s and still be virgins.

Also when it comes to large age gaps the younger parties mindset is more often then not "they are too old, I will never actually settle down with this person, I just want a test drive".

What about how women typically have far more dating experience and some men dont even date til their 30s where as women, should they choose to, can go non-stop starting in highschool?

Life experience isnt simply one progression bar determined by age, its a spectrum.
If you never experience specific things, you will never get better at them. Just like you cant expect a 35 year old to be better at a 20 year old at skiiing just because they are older, you cant expect a 35 year old to have better dating knowledge then a 20 year old if theyve never dated.

Asa gay guy who had hook ups with about 15 years older than me when I was 20, I was ready to have sex with older guys, but not date them. For dating. My max age gap was 10 years older so I do understand what you mean.

I am 38. Last girl i asked out is 22. I jave the advantage of looking young tho. She shot me down. But i do not exclusively look at young girls. I will date anyone really. From 20' to 40's.

Its actually kind of strange. Young girls think im their age and women my age think im too young.

It's a little bit awkward if they knew each other already when she was say 10.

I think in general people are able to differ consensual adults who met when they were adults and creeps like that. My partner's 8 years younger, but we met when he was 21. If I met it when I was 18, I would never have considered dating him

My fianc is 15yrs younger than me...didn't think it'd work but it has.

We're a great match. She keeps me young and I keep her grounded.

20 is not really an adult. Sure, legally speaking. But someone who is 20 is still cognitively developing and probably doesn't finish developing until 25ish. As such, I find it a bit creepy because at 20 you don't have enough "adult" life experience to not be overly influenced by someone who is 35.

Likewise, if you're 35, if a 20 year old doesn't annoy you in some regard, you're probably cognitively stunted yourself. Like talk about not growing as a person for 10 years in order to fully relate with that individual.

And let's not forget the classic [(age/2) + 7]

Makes me feel uncomfortable. And if me feeling uncomfortable makes you feel uncomfortable than I feel even more uncomfortable.
