Been playing MUA 3, and only the active 4 members gain experience. Kinda sucks when there's like 50+ inactive members

Yes especially if they do shit like require specific party members at certain points. Strikers pissed me off with this.

Nah, just the characters I like/have to use.

In Super Mario RPG, I only use Mallow and Geno until I don't have to anymore. Once I get Bowser and Toadstool, those other losers can go fuck themselves.

Kinda depends on the game. I actually don't mind it in something like MUA where you are kinda expected to run through multiple times with different party members. But in something like a Tails game, the members need to at least get like 70% experience so you don't end up with a bunch of useless members really quickly

agreed, I grind so I can demolish anything in my path. FF8 did it ok though bc you could still end up demolishing shit because the game was so broken and manipulable. I mean that in a good way

Most of the time, yes.

But no for certain games, like Pokemon and strategy RPGs, in which levelling a balanced team is an integral part of the gameplay.

Yes. Suikoden for example has a good catchup mechanic though, under level characters gain huge amounts of XP from more current dungeons so at least getting them up to speed is a joke.

Of course. Dead party members should level up too, and EXP should not be split among party members.

I think I would like the best that at defaullt: Benched+Dead characters get the same EXP as used characters.

But there is a cost.

Control of that character's leveling up stats and spells. (at level 5 pick +1str +1def or +1mag. at level 10 pick cure or fireball) If the game auto levels, it will randomly pick it for you)

You can reset them. But the cost is you gotta relevel them manually.
