There's this final patch of territory, this sliver of land that I always get in my playthroughs and it's damn near impossible to incite a gang war to win over the territory and turn it in green. Anyone have that in their game?

I'm playing through the new version now and dreading getting to that part. I quit the PS2 version because of that shit. I was thinking about taking the territories earlier in the game, but don't they just get taken back by the rival gangs anyways?

Is it still bugged and a random territory pops up in San Fierro after the Liberty City mission?

It does get taken back. If I'm going for 100%, I usually take over all the turf in the beginning, despite losing it later, because it's an easy way to collect money and upgrade the weapon stats.

You can lure gang members (don't even think it has to be the right gang, as long as it's one you can get a war with) in from another territory, if you have others left that aren't yours. That is, assuming it's a legit nearby one, and not a glitch one appearing half way across the map (which can happen as a result of going too far out of bounds, at least on the original versions of the game, and the mission where you fly to Liberty City tends to trigger this glitch more often than not).

If I remember right, the trick is to go in that area, and snipe gang members that are in a different area. I believe it triggers the gang war in the territory you're in, even if the members you're killing are in a different area.

You might need to wait for a gang war to start and ignore it, so your rival gangs get some territory back.

The Liberty City glitch doesn't happen anymore I don't think because you really don't have to fly out very far to trigger the cutscene warp anymore

The objective marker to trigger it is very close to land

I had the most trouble with the Vagos' rectangle territories in the north. I had to run around dozens of times and I would often have to lure them in by aiming at them then running. Half the time they would run though

Vagos are the hardest to fight because their terrain just sucks. Little cover, weird roads, easy for them to run away...

The worst is having to take it all twice and constantly defend it.

To me, the worst thing about playing SA on Series X is that you literally cannot have a 100% save file right now

You can do everything except Blood Bowl because the game will crash every single time you try to save the game after triggering the mission activity a single time

It's a glitch caused by the game creating a checkpoint save when you trigger it

Is that the stadium in San Fierro? I was lucky enough for it not to crash on me.

I did however get a tag glitch I think. I used a guide to collect them all but at the end of it, it says I only collected 99/100. Unless there is a tiny fraction of spray that I missed that didnt trigger the tag being registered and I wasnt paying attention. Regardless, I have to double check them all and Im too lazy.

Tbh getting 100% in that game would be fun at all and has no reward.
