I have information on a wanted criminal. But after looking up Crime Stoppers online been seeing a lot of negative stuff said about them.

Are they helpful. Or is it best to directly call 911 or something? I just want to submit the tip and not have to worry about the criminal knowing it was me who snitched.

I'd say rather than calling 911, you should call the nonemergency number for your area if you feel it's really important to pass the info along.

So Crime Stoppers is useless? I just mention it because all the tweets/news sources in my area about crimes say if you have information to call them.

I will give a random example. This isnt my area but it is the kind of thing I see in media. They dont say call the local cops. It is call crime stoppers and you are given the number to the local one.
