I had the game spoiled for me back in late 2018 and I quit playing in Chapter 4

But I started recently and the sheer amount of back and forth you can do to camp and the Trapper is insane.

Not to mention some of this goes into the post-game

I enjoyed hunting in RDR1 but probably won't ever do it in 2.

Everything is such a chore in that game

Wish it was worth doing. So many outfits and a bunch of them are "too warm" to wear in most of the map

I understand this. But at the same time, Id take breaks from story missions for like 5-10 hours at a time doing "chores". I'd probably understand this perspective more 10-15 years in the future when other games are as deep as RDR2s world. But as of now it's still a marvel and it makes everything immersive and entertaining to me. Even when I started a second playthrough. These games completely rely on where your mind goes during doing these slower actions. Any other game, most the stuff would irritate me too. You put this stuff in a dead world Ubisoft game, it'll be the worst thing ever.

They needed to make crafting possible with less than perfect pelts. If something requires 1 perfect be able to use 20 poor ones etc.

Eh, so far the only place I've really noticed is 'too warm' is Saint Denis and the swamps

really need to get back into that game. currently working on some achievements for the halo mcc and forza horizon 5 tho

Honestly the only change I'd make to the temperature/outfit system is the game outright telling you what degree your current mash of clothes will be 'too warm' instead of just waiting for your health core to flash

I love the hunting in RDR2, I just wish you could get a wagon or something to carry more carcasses. I also really like that you can cook the meat back at camp, it makes for some cool role-playing sessions

Isn't this what they did with Online? I never got far enough to buy a wagon online

It's one of. And it'll stick out even more at the end of this current gen when it still holds up to the newest games.

Yes, there's a hunting wagon you can load up 5 large carcasses into.

Blaming your horse isn't the way, mister. You just don't know how to tame that wild boy right there. My good ol girl never did me no wrong. Kept'er through the whole game, that I did.

When you stumble on a predator you can spam press the left stick to keep it calm. It will usually stop the horse from spawning and bucking you off, unless you have one of the super skittish breeds.
