Deathloop is a console exclusive (for now)

Also, the 3 games you listed are great, and Astro's Playtoom is hella fun for about 5 hours.

Also, the PS5 versions of Miles Morales, Resident Evil Village, and Control are notably better than the PS4 versions.

i mean yeah. those are great. but every i play ps5 enhanced games and i have to do something stupid like shimmy through a small gap in a wall so the game can load im just put off.

though Spider-mans instant loading still amazes me.

I'm gonna do some research and see how many PS4 exclusives came out in the first year.

It's literally due to shortages. If there's no abundance of systems to buy, no one is going to make games exclusive to it to force people to upgrade.

idk Those 3 exclusives mentioned combined with the "enhanced" (Metro, Greedfall, Ghostrunner, Plague Tale, GoW, Horizon, etc) library of PS5-PS4 titles surely made me very happy with mine.

Only game that still plays like trash is Cyberpunk because all it does is run off the hardware's BC, not as a native PS5 port.

It'll remain a joke console until Sony actually puts them in stores so people can buy them.

That was for the span of one month, where the competition was between a console mired by scarcity and one that's been out for over four years.

The fact of the matter remains that there hasn't been a promise of a reliable generational shift for the new consoles. That's why new games don't come out exclusive to the PS5/XBSX, because there hasn't yet been the guarantee that there will be a solid return.

Major releases will continue to come out for both the new and previous generation for at least the next year.

I don't think they saw the scalper situation to be a thing at the beginning. Yet, a year later and here we are. Still can't get our hands on one.

I have both PS5 and Series X. PS5 gets way more playtime but Gamepass is cool too

No, they definitely realized early on that they were going to have to support the PS4 for longer. Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7 and God of War: Ragnarok were originally going to be PS5 only.

I'd wager that's why Horizon and Gran Turismo got pushed to 2022. They were scrambling to get the PS4 versions working right, since they weren't originally part of the plan.

I have zero regrets over getting my PS5 on launch.

I've had one since April, have enjoyed it, and still haven't played any of those games in the OP yet

I sold my PS5s like 2 months after launch. Just no reason to have one right now.

That and all my waifu games are better on PC anyway

That's where rewarding Sony for what they did to last gen will get you.

Ill just play all the ps5 exclusives at 1440p and 144fps on my PC in a few years :>
