Good chunk of those games were short.

During award season I sometimes watch 3 or 4 movies a day.

Not going anywhere all year beyond places to run errands cause of COVID probably helped beef my numbers up.

Yeah that one was a rollercoaster of love and hate. Probably the most challenging game on my list. Some of the puzzles felt ridiculous, but the only flat out bad ones I thought were the sound ones. But I beat the final challenge and everything and overall it was a hell of a game.

You know what? It fucking is. And i generally work 9 hours a day starting with waking up and making my daughter breakfast and taking her to the bus. I still maintain my gaming hobby but due to time restraints its more like i play some games but create a massive backlog. I cant really be better at anything without cutting time out of one of the others so that obviously means my hobby. I always joke about buying a new game every time i dont have time to play games but its pretty true. I take lots of energy drinks and sleeping aid to make sure i have both energy and enough sleep but that cant be healthy. Its like if you actually get all you want youre going to be busy as all hell maintaining them. Its all worth it but im always busy and i havnt been bored in 9 years (birth of daughter)....

Other than that, its great.

Hmm. That's gonna be tough since the vast vast majority of movies I watched were from 2020 or earlier. So I've only seen about 15 or so 2021 movies probably. Haven't seen a lot like Belfast, Pig, Dune, CODA, etc.

The White Tiger
The Kid Detective
Spider-Man: No Way Home
Judas and the Black Messiah
The Suicide Squad

And the worst goes to Willy's Wonderland.

Pretty unremarkable list, but I'll probably see all the good 2021 shit in 2022.

I have a top 9 at the moment, as they scored a 9 or 10 from me.

1. Dune
2. Spider-Man
3. The Power of the Dog
4. The Suicide Squad
5. Belfast
6. A Quiet Place Part 2
7. West Side Story
8. Free Guy
9. Tick, Tick...Boom

BTW, I count Judas and the Black Messiah among my best of last year due to the Academy rules for 2020 movies.

Yeah plan on seeing all those other than Free Guy which I have heard good stuff about. Maybe I'll check it out. Only movie there I disagree with is Quiet Place 2. Hated that, but different strokes for different folks.

I have similar movie numbers (much less games though) and I work, have kids (a third of the time) and a live in gf.

What helps is that I work from home, so I save on commute and chit chat time. Also, my gf works only 3 days a week but for 13 hours those days and 2 of those days I don't have kids, so I have 2 evenings a week completely free to watch movies by myself.

Did you like the first one? While not a new concept anymore, I found the second even more tense throughout.

Yeah thought the first one was flawed but good. Second I just found incredibly boring. Part of it was the concept not being new anymore, but I also just found every character dull. Wanna say there were some stupid decisions made too, but I can't really remember them. I think one part that bugged me right away was in the flashback at the start. It's the first time everyone is seeing the monsters and they all hide in a store? Then they all just automatically know that noise is what attracts them and they're blind? Like they all hide under tables which leave they very visible. They all just decide to do this on their own too, all coming to the same conclusion independently I think. Maybe it's a little nit picky, but meh. Just logic problems and stretches. They were there in the first, but I had an easier time looking past most of them. Also finding all the survivors in the community just made it feel more like your run of the mill post apocalyptic zombie type movie.

I'd still probably put it above Don't Breathe 2 and Halloween Kills.
