Yes. At the risk of getting modded, the romhack community for pokemon is also friggin ridiculous. I'm talking using FireRed as the base game but having gen 8 (what gen are we on?) Pokemon, moves, mechanics, etc.

Also if you're playing the FireRed/emerald era games, you can go up to 8x speed or more. Probably one of the reasons I can't go back to playing regular pokemon games lol
