The cherry on this naming fudge up sundae is I'm pretty sure tales of eternia aka tales of destiny 2, got a sequel on the ps2.

Im very confused. Im looking up this tales of destiny 2 game, and it came out for ps1, ps2, AND psp? Three different versions of the same game?

Tales of Eternia has Reid, Farah, etc. It was known as Tales of Destiny "II" for the PSX.

Tales of Destiny 2 has Kyle, who's the son of the protagonist from the first Tales of Destiny. It's from PS2.

The pic at #9 is from the latter.

There are 2 games in the poll that were not released in the 90s and thus are not 90s games.

Voted #3 before getting to #9 which is clearly from the 00s but Im pretty sure neither are 90s games; #3 looks to be either Darius (1986) or Darius II (1989).

Yeah lol. I'm blaming whoever thought it was a good idea to release it in the west with basically the same name as a sequel to the original Tales of Destiny that was already in pre-production I think, since there were only a couple of years apart.

You're right. There are 3 games that are not from the 90s in the poll (2 from the 80s and 1 from the 00s).

It's definitely not #7; I know that much at least. I'm guessing #9, which is what I believe to be the intended answer.

#9 is Tales of Destiny 2, released for PS2 at 2002 in Japan and had no English release.

So what was the intended correct answer? And what game is #10? That's the only one I don't recognize in the slightest.
