I have. 5 years ago some Army guy choked me out and punched me in the face while I was blacked out because I called his girlfriend fat.
Never been sober while involved in a physical altercation. For those that have, what does it feel like besides the pain?

I don't get into trouble when I'm out. I had a few minor self defense scenarios where someone would under estimate me, I'd throw them to the ground or something, and it turned out they didn't want any of it once they realized I wasn't a total pussy . But by and large I keep to myself now. I have removed myself from society and don't really do anything that would invite altercation anymore.

But I have been doing Jiu-Jitsu the last three years and did Karate in my 20's.

I will say that I get shaken up more from stand up sparring. I took a reverse roundhouse to the face and my teeth tore up the inside of my mouth. I remember hearing the impact as hard as feeling it and it put me off of practicing striking. I kept thinking about potentially getting concussed. I do way better in grappling because I'm a strong dude and I can defend pretty well even against someone that has some skill.

I don't think I'm cut out for a street fight these days. I've got too much to lose.
