It's just all you have left after being tired all the time, realizing how little power you do have in your life despite all the motivvational speeches and feel good nonsense preached at you by friends, family and media. It's like life is one big fat lie and people have to cope with it because the truth is too painful or rather acknowding the truth or not is the only real thing in this life they can control and so theyll keep that choice for as long as they are able even through it's a choice that doesn't realy change the outcome either way, the Illusion of choice is more important to them than the realiation of having no choices. People always say "there's always a choice" when in reality the "choices" are just different breeds of negativity Just quit your job if you don't like it!" good now you're homeless "Well you made the choice, live with the consequeences" true people just wanna rip into others and fill them with the same bitterness, despair and disappointment they themseles feel because somehow bringing people into that mindset has turned into a source of joy and or pleasure for them, drown this world in the darkness, destroy the false light that iluimentat the eyes of the ignorant.

True, but on the days off you can hop on a bus, go to the city and fuck hookers if you really want.

(note to mods: prostitution is legal in Australia and that's the perspective I'm speaking from, plz no mod)

In the US trying that kinda thing will get you arrested and your life ruined and or an STD, going after sex workers is a past time of government officials on both sides of the political fence

In I'm my 20s and I've given up. Can't imagine what my 30s or 40s will be like assuming I'm still alive. Years upon years of never truly finding happiness because life is stained with the ugly truth and you just have to live a lie, feel depressed about the state of things or just feel nothing at all because thinking and feeling things is painful.

There's always the one thing that can break you into to, too like learning organizations that are meant to help people are really there only to help the interests of a select few or that ultimately you and those like you are completely disposable or that no matter what negative things you feel or thoughts you have the truth is nobody cares, not because they're ackasses but because they have their own problems too and they also know nobody cares about their problems and life isn't fair and trying to desperately fight against this fact will piss people off even more to the point they actively cheer your failures and are the first in line to mock you over them

Sex work is legitimate labor, and people engaging in sex work should have all of the protections of a legal, regulated industry. All that criminalising sex work does is force women into unsafe working conditions where they're at higher risk of illness, assault and incarceration.

Sex workers deserve respect, and the work that they do is legitimate, nuanced and even enjoyable - granted that they have control over their bodies, the freedom to pick and choose their own clients and the protection of the legal system. While there are absolutely issues with the sex industry, even in countries where prostitution is legalized, the work itself is a viable profession for those who engage in it and the people who engage in it deserve the utmost respect, legal protection and control of their bodies and process in which they carry out their jobs.

Feminism that shuns sex workers is bunk feminism. That doesn't mean "feminists can't disapprove of the sex industry and the treatment of women, including high rates of sexual violence, abuse and objectification" - the sex industry should absolutely be challenged, and sex work carries risks that people are right to disapprove of. But feminists can have a robust appreciation of sex work and advocate for legalisation for the safety and protection of sex workers alongside the legitimate issues that the sex industry has.

I got disillusioned in my 20s and joined civil war reenacting. Made it all the way to Appomattox and got to surrender a parrot. Great times.

Life is what you make of it. Dont give up

Fair complaint. A bantery comment can coexist with a more nuanced opinion imo, but I get where you're coming from.

I find it more helpful to use language that addresses the suffering in a more head-on way. The vagueness in the opening post is filled with doom.
