According to a co worker. They say thats why you never open the door after the food is done cooking so you dont let the heat out so the food can finish cooking.

When the food is hot or according to the times on the instructions. Microwaves do not retain heat when its finished its timer like an oven would.

"Leave in microwave 1 minute" serves two purposes:
  1. Lets heat distribute through the food, so the hotpocket isn't lava on the outside yet still cold in the middle
  2. Lawyer CYA for the idiots who bite into a lava hotpocket.

No. The air in a microwave heats by a factor of "barely", and escapes out of the vents anyway.

I fucked up what I was trying to say. I was trying to say something alone the lines of, "do they also wash veggies with soap," not that you had said that. And yeah, I've seen people do that, too.
