Literal shootings outside my window and still paying $800 a month with multiple roommates while making $20,000 a year. Eventually that place was going to be $1200 a month for me unless I moved. The last place I lived was a guys closet. Seriously. I lived in a literal walk-in closet. Just a futon on the floor of the closet (but able to use the common areas). I was paying $800 a month to do that. After I moved to Japan I was paying $450 a month for a 2 bedroom and dining/kitchen. Total, no roommates. Yeah just move.
