What kind of train? Like international, intercontinental, or interstate

I'm on an Amtrak Acela, traveling from Boston to DC. :)

I just learned that John Oliver is only two and a half years older than me.

Fishing for crabs at the dock, feelin glamorous might have some chipotle later.

Chilling at home before chilling outside to clean up snow off the car, then work.

I'm going to MAGFest, and she's not quite "in" the life yet to go away for nearly a week to a convention she might not even enjoy.

We're easing her in. One day of PAX in April for her, then we'll see how she likes the con life.

It's an Amtrak Acela, so there's a bathroom per car, about fifty seats per car, all pretty comfy.

the kinda train TC is riding is pretty nice/decent, but we also have light rails (basically aboveground subways) and subways, and those are usually pretty shitty due to how a lot of the riders behave.

Heading to MAGAFest on 1/6, is that what we're calling it now?

lol well I don't know what those are. The train's not super fast, but it's clean, pretty comfy, and the service car only mildly gouges you for food.

I see. We have similar types of trains, and similar problems too. The infrastructure is often kept relatively up to date, but people mess things up and punctuality is a problem

Sounds similar to German trains :D minus the super fast bit; the kinds of trains we have that are comfy and have service cars tend to be the faster kind (though it depends on the track. If it's not a high speed track they'll be dreadfully slow here too)

Both. Moved to a new house. I had 2 weeks vacation for the holidays but used it to unpack nonstop and then taking care of a sick baby for the last week. Now back at work but its hard to be on all day and then go right back to baby duties with no break ever. I know things will get better when shes older but right now this is the hardest time of my life.

How mobile is she?

How mobile is she?

Crawling and climbing over everything. Not walking yet but she cruises along furniture and walls easily. I have to be around her at all times because she can hurt herself if unsupervised. Its very early for her to be this mobile at 8 months. I cant even change her diaper without help because she flips over and tries to crawl over the changing table and fights every second of it lol. By the end of the day, Im so physically and mentally drained I cant focus on anything and just go to bed. Rinse and repeat. I have a safe playpen area for her but she hates being in it too long so I give her time to explore the house and just follow her around.

She is absolutely adorable. And I know Im going to sound like one of those moms but shes so smart and inquisitive. She wants to observe and analyze everything. She has always hated being confined to things so things like baby rockers, swings and play pens are a no go for her. I get jealous when I see other babies just chilling in those things like whats that like lol

So I managed to.. not go into a food coma over the holiday break while Cleo here moved houses, unpacked, parented/fed/cleaned an eight month old baby, cooked amazing dishes, and probably developed cold fusion !
