They can decline the firing and then just go back to work. Why dont more people do this?

Because they won't get paid very any extra work they do when they get fired
And because the police will be called to remove them from the premises

This won't work, but if you sign a single THING after you get terminated then you're a fool. A lot of employers will coerce/lie to you to get you to sign away your rights and rid them of any possible liability.

I didn't know this and the first time i got laid off i signed away about $5000 in education coverage that i was promised by a former director. Should have got a lawyer, bah humbug. live and learn.
