Yeah, it really did.

I didn't even especially like Carl in the show, but after they killed him off I just immediately stopped watching the show. It wasn't even a conscious choice to stop, I just lost interest.

For me it was Season 2. Either the half way point or the end? Can't remember. All I do remember is shaking my head how NO ONE knew about the Zombies in the barn yet they are rotting bodies in a small area during summer heat! You would smell them miles away.

I really did like the first season though. Shame they went the stupid route (and too much soap opera drama) in the second season.

Nah, that's when I stopped too. I've always said I'll go back and watch the rest, but that has been since it's aired. I doubt I'll ever go back.

The final nail in the coffin was Carl's death. That's when I, and the rest of my family, dropped the show. We lasted like 3 episodes after that and just didn't feel it anymore.

I'd long since quit watching - I quit watching in S3, I didn't like how they were adapting the Governor - and I thought that shit was hilarious. AMC made such a big deal about it. Filming multiple fake scenes, DMCAing spoilers, all that shit, and what do they do?

They kill the same motherfucker in the exact same way that he died in the comics four years previously.

I had no issue with who got lucilled, but I think should have taken a different approach to it that wouldn't have pissed off so many people by making them wait another 6 or 7 months to find who it was.

Since they planned on killing two people instead of one like the comics. I think they should shown the hit on Abraham in the finale and gone with the Glen hit in the premiere.

But a lot of the regular viewers started getting fatigued with the series at S7 anyways.

The best episode is the first one.

First series was good.

Second was good too and third series was decent but it was all downhill after that.

I get why they had to kill off Shane but his character was one of the best things about the show.
