It holds up really well. Great episode.

But Marge (Homer's wife) really pissed me the fuck off in it.

Bart hating being put in the special needs class at school and having no friends so he hates living there makes sense.
Lisa being allegeric to everything so she's permentantly sick and miserable makes sense.

Marge's problem with living in paradise? There isn't enough housework to do so she has too much free time.

Fuck you bitch. Seriously?

Get a job. Get a hobby. Make some new friends. Take up Tennis.

Remember that art you used to be into? Make one of the rooms into a studio and go ham.

Get a new PC and check out Mass Effect. That will kill a couple of weeks.

It's a fucking stupid reason for her to miserable.

I know she saves grace a little by saying it's Homer's choice whether they stay or go back. But still the fact she's guilting him over it is super douchey.

And then in another episode she has a mental breakdown and loses all her hair because there's too much housework to do (meanwhile Homer works all day)

It was done for a joke.

Also on rewatches you'll notice it's implied that Hank Scorpio might be a supervillain

I think it's a 4th wall metaphor for not making your work your life, or your hobbies, don't let them consume all you are - because there may come a time where they're not there for you. Like that quote states: "don't just dream of being a ballerina while pig farming, because eventually pig farming is all you'll know."

Huh? I think its quite simple, Marge is a hard worker. She may be a SAHM but she finds worth and value in what she did in Springfield. In Cypress Creek though, she has nothing to do. She is bored. Nothing deep about it.

The whole joke, like her character's whole joke, is she's a homemaker housewife who's only purpose is her homemaking.
