Saw this guy on FB raising money in a local group for funeral expenses. Seemed scammy so I checked his profile and saw this, wtf lol

My grandfather took a date to my grandmother's funeral. Like in the time in between my grandma dying and the service, he asked out a bank teller that he interacted with often.

From all accounts, he wasn't cheating while my grandma was on her deathbed. Dude just had swagger enough to guilt this poor woman into a date.

Though my grandpa was dating someone within 2 months of my grandma passing. And that was when he was introducing her to the rest of the family. Not sure when they actually started.. Felt super quick.

That's the date the person set their status

Essentially the tweets are suggesting he got a new GF like 3 weeks after the funeral but who knows what actually happened here.

If you spend any amount of time around elderly people, you know it's not uncommon for them to move on quickly. Death isn't exactly unexpected and many couples even have contingency plans (like that episode of Everybody Loves Raymond) and there's not really a lot of time to beat around the bush at that point. Many times it's less about companionship/sex and more actually needing someone to help them in their day to day life.

I know when my paternal grandmother died, my retired dad started working again, because if he was at home doing nothing all day, it would give him too much time to think about his mom no longer being around. I could see someone using a new relationship in the same way.

I thought he was in a relationship on 03 January 2021 and she died 15 December 2021 with TC meaning that the relationship didnt last long.

I accidently found out it was one of the person I was taking care of at the retirement home (volunteer work) because I was teaching her how to use facebook. It was funny, but I didn't think the internet would catch wind of it until my friend sent me a jpeg picture of the screen cap lol.
