New movie helped convince people that this Spider-Man is just an alternate take on the comics I think. Also NWH ending spoilers-

Peter may have left MJ when the memory wipe spell was completed. Meaning we could get a new actress named Mary Jane since thats not current MJs name or Peters new romance in Black Cat or Gwen Stacey in later movies.
