Yes, because my optimism died and I became a source of negativity instead. I've mostly got it sorted out again at the moment though.

I feel like I mostly came out of it. Compare my posting to how I did a few years ago and it's day and night. If anything, they just provided a mirror and helped me realize how much I didn't wanna be like that. You'll still catch me playing into it here and there, but that's just moods.

I can confirm some this. I use to try to get you to verbally swing at me and you never did lol. But that was more for fun than anything serious on my end. Your reluctantness just made it more entertaining to poke at you.

A little bit. I wouldnt say it brings me down a lot, but sometimes I take a step back from all the bigotry and meanness and think Man, why do I keep browsing this mess?

The answer is that gamefaqs is my preferred place to stay on top of video game leaks/rumors and its a fairly reliable place to get a quick dopamine bump. But, sometimes I do wonder if its worth it. Ive been here so long.

Honestly? I was way too fucked up before I started coming here to be affected by anything that goes on.

Sometimes it can be fun to play along with it, though. And as for the really fucked up shit people say and do? Well that's really just target practice.

I don't think anyone wants to be suspended or have that type of reaction. Usually I take trolling as joking, but that argument was intense. It was a political discussion at the end of the day, but that was a weird topic.

Know the difference between wanting to change the law and advocating people to do something. Changing the law as in the POTUS or a state governor wanting to lower the AOC. You say I was trolling, but not once you brought up a counter-argument, your argument "omg what he said is so sick, mod his ass" is not an argument. Greyfox747 couldn't even come up with an intelligent rebuttal. Who really was trolling was Guide, who brought up that discussion knowing full well I was going to defend what I said in that previous topic. It was my mistake to continue talking about that, I should have ignored Guide. Trust me when I say this, talking about the age when someone reaches sexual maturity is the last thing I wanted to talk about. The original discussion was talking about Joe Rogan's view of capitalism in the US, we don't have real capitalism in the US. We have a big government/nanny police state that often contradicts it's own morals, and as of right now making us poorer. Guide most likely was offended of my views of wanting to limit government so he brought up that post, that is my guess. Regarding the AoC being 10 years old that was the law back then in the late 19th century. It was 7 years old in the state of Delaware and that's all I got to say about that.

Challenging the nanny police state is important because some people actually think abolishing child labor laws and abolishing the minimum wage laws is slavery. Lowering the AoC does not mean I am advocating rape. If the issue of me being modded because what I said is so immoral, well look at the topics in CE, and tell me if what I say is anything close to being immoral compared to all the immortal that's being reported daily on CE, and how people indulge and defend immoral views. That is hypocritical. And yes I do care about if the world is burning and my account being suspended because people like you continue to talk crap and I can't even defend myself. Hell you made a topic that I got suspended just to bash me even more, what kind of person are you?

EDIT: Also the topic that Guide brought up, it was about that American Ninja contestant Drew Drechsel having sex with a 15 year old when he was 26. They were livid about a 15 year old having sex. The age of consent is 16 years old, I mean even you have to admit there is no difference between a 15 year old and a 16 year old having sex with an adult.

No I got suspended for wanting to lower the AoC laws, and defending Drew Drechsel for having sex with a 15 year old. Nothing in my post said hey go brake the law and have sex with a 12 year old. I often advocate for lowering the copyright term limit to 6 years, that doesn't mean I am telling everyone to go pirate.

CE has probably generated moments of frustration that weren't always resolved immediately but overall I end up feeling a net positive from my time here (fifteen something years?!!?).

I'm not sure to what degree the positivity is from familiarity, to what degree it's from CE being a (generally) 'safe' place, to what degree it's from seeing humorous ribbing that people take in good humor, etc
