Stuff like this is why companies want to build robots to do our jobs.

Lmao acting like the capitalists wouldn't employ automation anyways. I've seen automation attempted at fast food and seen it fail over and over

It's the opposite actually. Those shitty jobs should be automated because no one should have to work them.

Amazon warehouse is the main example of this where everyone's QOL could be improved by automating the bulk of the work.

While you're not wrong, under our current economic structure, it unfortunately means millions of people left with no way to provide for themselves.

Amazon would have to completely overhaul its business model and warehouse infrastructure to automate their warehouses.
Plus, you know, robots and machines are expensive up-front and require maintenance. A human worker makes a pittance doing back-breaking labor for a few months and then ceases to be their problem (it's literally part of their philosophy that high turnover is great).

It's already gotten some mainstream attention. We would not be seeing so much pushback if it were "going nowhere".

That and Amazon is probably the most automated warehouse system to begin with. The fact that boxers just have to stand at a console and robots deliver entire shelves to them is probably about as far as they can reliably go with the current technology.
