It's not arguing rights.

Anything in particular illogical about what he said?

Everyone should vote if they want to. Also Sowell is an idiot.

Philosophically, I disagree. But okay.

The best arguement against democracy is a 5 minute chat with the average voter - Winston Churchill or someone idk

I would love to see a refutation of the man's argument. Preferably one that makes sense.

What argument? Does he really think people are taking the time to vote when they have to guess what candidate to favor? Why would someone do that? I think the future he dreams of is the present. I'll bet he really means something not said in the clip, though, given the source.

His argument is stupid because it's fostering ignorance.

If you don't know anything about the ballot your "most patriotic act" would be to fucking read up on it and then vote. Not just stay home.

He says that the most patriotic thing would be for people to stay at home and not vote instead of you know... telling people that the most patriotic thing people can do is instead is to keep themselves informed and then vote. Having a voice is better than not having a voice.
