I dont really know what's going on in the story but I like how both missions so far are important to the world and important to 47. I really like that 47 actually has a friend on the ground now too, put it together and I'm feeling a lot more motivation to play. Even if I still think the general conceit of these games doesn't live up to blood money

OK no fucking way... after finding the very last clue in the whole mansion (the sealed letter from the older brother half a century ago) I get a notification that the target has been eliminated by poisoning. If you wait long enough Emma kills the lady before you do! Holy shit.

Played a little bit on gamepass, I couldn't get invested like I did with 2.

It's definitely better on a first playthrough although I feel like there are a few missions in the first 2 games that have better replay value.

But yeah story is a big improvement overall. A lot of the game feels like their pitch to make a 007 game.

Considering their next game apparently IS a 007 game...

Biggest problem with these new games js they're short if you're not huge on replayability. I just finished.

I'd say the biggest problem with them is that their way of marketing them on steam is absolutely nonsensical where you practically need to pull out a walkthrough just to make sure you're buying the right version of the game.

But that's the whole point of the Hitman games

It's mostly only the point of the reboot series, and they came to that design decision to make Hitman 1's episodic release feasible. Blood Money and Absolution were designed much more like traditional campaigns.

What? Blood Money absolutely felt episodic. I couldn't even tell you if there even was a story thread at all.
