According to the staff he just asked for no peanuts. Made no mention of the allergy. also, he is the father. He needs to make sure the food he is giving his kid is safe.

I call bullshit on the peanut allergy story. Any parent with a child that has a peanut allergy so bad that they got into a life-threatening state over trace amounts, wouldn't get them food from shops that don't cater specifically to special dietary needs.

Kid is having a serious reaction but he instead chose to go back and fight with a bunch of teens working there rather than tending to his kid? If the allergy is that serious then you better make sure you mention it because the staff is obligated to clean everything completely to prevent cross contamination. Just telling them "no peanuts" then being upset they made a mistake you didn't specify isn't their fault, and its not worthy of that reaction.

My sister and niece have allergies. Those allergies are clearly described each they order something that might be questionable.

Even if they didn't...remember they are porbably understaffed and underpaid and are human teens. They make mistakes. It's your job as the parent to double check what you order if there is a serious allergy.

My daughter had an egg allergy that she thankfully grew out of but yeah I couldn't just go 'no eggs' I had to ask if their products had traces of eggs on top of having them as an ingredient. They'd usually have a chart that would list all of the allergens contained in products which would also cover their procedures of shared equipment.

Even if we assume that he did all of the rights things and the staff fucked up this is still an insane response. He's still holding the milkshake so I'm guessing the kid didn't have a medical emergency.
