But the most surprising thing is it kind of feels like Crysis. At least thematically. But I think what makes it work unlike the previous Far Cry games on console is that it's 60 frames per second, which makes a world of a difference.

How's the overall tone? I hated how jokey 5 was at times, the silliness just doesn't fit for me. I like when it takes itself a bit more seriously

What's the last FC game you played? I haven't played one since 3 and was thinking about trying 6 once its cheap.

the open world gameplay loop drained me. go here, shoot 4 guys, make helicopter go boom with overpowered fireworks gun, go here, shoot 5 guys, make tank go boom with overpowered fireworks gun, go here, shoot 4 guys, etc, nothing changes

It's definitely more serious than five, and a bit more actually political instead of dancing around the issue. That said, it's still pretty half-ass in that regard.

Yes, although I do think mechanically it feels better than five.

yeah, the movement and gunplay feels good, i just wish the game used that to its advantage and put the player in more interesting environments, and against enemies that require more thought than "shoot head lol"

i never find myself in a position to use any of the supremos effectively, either.
