A unnamed Maine Man was found stumbling down the street carrying his own SEVERED ARM and SCREAMING in pain when 2 public workers saw him who were trained to use tourniquets to help stop the bleeding before calling police!!

His arm was cut off near the SHOULDER by a band saw whose blade is positioned between 2 wheels and is generally used to cut metal while he worked at a AK market in Lewiston

Police arrived at 920am and followed the trail of blood from Maple Street back to the business where several people said the man had been operating the band saw

Police did not determine how he lost his arm beyond describing the GORY amputation as a workplace accident though he is expected to survive

Mary Ann Brenchick, director of Lewiston Public Works said it had to be divine intervention because of her 2 best guys just happened to be there sanding sidewalks

The injured man went to Central Maine Medical Centre where he underwent surgery but it's unclear whether surgeons would be able to reattach his arm.

If they made a makeshift tourniquet, I doubt his arm was able to be reattached

it prob depends on how far the arm is lost. i know of a guy that is missing his arm from the elbow down and still plays guitar and did parkour (back in the 2005-2009 period). was pretty comparable to the two armed people that practiced at the time too tho he'd get smashed by the current-gen freeunners/traceurs that been training since they were like 2-5 years old and are also part of some gymnastics program/club.

i mean i require both arms for all my hobbies, and even just work and all that pointless shit. the absolute ONLY upside is that one might be able to get on disability

A fun thing to do is check if your insurance has specific coverages of dismemberment. Then look and see what the payout price tags are for various body parts.

he had to use both hands to operate the band saw.... slipped or had some bad misfortune and his arm got amputated.

now there's no relief (even prosthetic's have only advanced so much in this lifetime that i'm doubtful would be of any help in that scenario).

Had to use one of those fuckers in a previous job, treated it like a loaded gun. One slip and bye-bye fingers. Could totally see this happening depending on the job, lack of safeties, and poor technique.
