this season was excellent. best overall IMO. legitimately couldn't stop watching. my girlfriend fell asleep saturday night around 8 so i flipped it on just planning on one or two episodes. think i watched five straight before getting into bed at like 1am

EDIT: The only thing I actually disliked was the opening scene with the truck crash. i really don't like flash forwards like that in most cases, ESPECIALLY when they don't even address/follow up on it after the first part of the season ends. it basically makes everything we've seen so far in these first 7 episodes feel totally pointless because we see, hey, all four of them are together and fine at this point

I agree. Best season (or half a season ) yet. But I also hate the opening scene and flash forwards in general--it destroys all the suspense because we know that the whole family is going to survive up that future point that hasn't even happened yet and that Jonah is going home with them making all the family drama meaningless...

I like Ozark very much but I don't know if I want to watch this or just wait for the second part of S4. Never been a fan of seasons being divided into parts.

I felt the same way but I think it actually worked pretty well for a mid-season closer...

Overall I liked these episodes but it seemed sloppy. Wendy was being overly annoying. Javi is. I dont like him. Maya fucking absolutely everyone over was great though lmao!

this is wild to me tbh how is she able to go over her bosses and orchestrate this massive arrest?

I definitely enjoyed it, but I don't know if I'd call it the best season. But I'm biased toward the second and third seasons because Helen's my favorite character.

And yeah, I kind of agree about the opening scene. I don't really care about the potential loss of suspense from flashforwards, but the fact that it's just a dangling plot thread right now feels unsatisfying. Like I wish it had been addressed again or resolved within this first half of the season. Maybe it will feel better when the second half gets released, if everything suddenly clicks into place. Hard to tell where they're really going with it.

Yea i hate the flashforward.

I don't get jonah becoming this super hacker launderer thing too. I wish they'd gone that much into him. How'd he create so many shell companies without barely leaving his house? You need legal citizen IDs, business permits. I don't know how the regulations work in the US, but it just doesn't make sense.

Last season was still believable that he's just a very smart kid, like using bot to farm and sell in game items or crypto trading bot. Suddenly he's 6 figures net worth, an entire network of fake accounts and shell companies that can move millions almost instantly. Yeaaaah no. That's just ridiculous.

you know things are fucked when i actually side with Darlene, who is an unstable psycopath, more than Wendy.

specially after she had a heart-attack and Wendy was just standing there watching. she did eventually call 911 but still... smh

Honestly, I was expecting Wendy to let her die...I mean, why did she save her anyway? From the point of view of a sociopath, there's no gain in it

Alright I'm all caught up now, can't wait for the second part. I liked Julia Garner's acting a lot, especially towards the latter episodes. Ruth screaming "You're gonna have to kill MEEEEE" was top tier.
