Canada's Conservative Lite Opposition, Bald Headed Erin O'Tootle is facing an internal revolt on his party as members believe they have the necessary votes to OUST him from leadership!!

MPs opposed to him said they collected enough signatures, 35 so far to hold a secret ballot to decide his fate and a vote by 50% plus one of the 119 sitting Conservatives calling on him to step down would force him to be removed and an interim leader would come in

One MP said "He's done it to himself. He's done nothing to endear himself to caucus. After the election, the support from caucus was a reflex. It wasn't a support for Erin. Erin has done nothing since to win us over"

After disappointing 2021 election results where they ended up exactly where they were last election and even lost to the Liberals which had them polling even before election day and his unwillingness to defend the UNVAXXED MP's was enough to call a vote to oust him.

Conservative MP Bob Benzen said they must have a say on his future because he produced disappointing results and he won the leadership in part because he promised ot be a "principled conservative voice" and not a flip flop firearms policy maker following the liberals leftist agenda.

He also criticized him for failing to clearly stand up for the charter of rights of Canadians during the pandemic over vaccine mandates as a source say the far right of the party is angry that o'toole left legislation pass through legislation such as banning conversion therapy.

He also expelled a conservative senator who voiced her opposition to him calling him a fake conservative

The vote is set to happen on Wednesday and could topple him as party leader

We need a far lefty who's actually hard enough to enforce their leftiness

It's too bad. O'Toole's less right approach nearly convinced me. But the capitulation to the crazies in his party kept me away.

Ironically, that fact that he didn't capitulate to the crazies enough is probably what cost him the election. The CPC has been trying to be more moderate in an effort to steal some of the Liberal vote, but they've got too much lingering resentment from the centre-left from Harper's shenanigans to sway them, and the PPC has snapped up the crazies that feel the party is too moderate for their tastes. Had he done a better job of picking a lane (that is, either explicitly hanging the crazies out to dry or embracing them wholeheartedly), he might have won.
